Big Data Scientist (Finance Focus)

I am pursuing a STEM-certified MS in Artificial Intelligence in Business at the University of Rochester, holding a merit scholarship and Dean’s list status, following my Bachelor of Accounting with a minor in Economic Statistics from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. I have hands-on data analysis experience from internships across finance, academia, and tech. At Lions Financial, I used cohort and behavioral analysis to improve user retention and reduce website resources by 30%.  At the Chinese Academy of Sciences, I applied ML algorithms to analyze over 30,000 mental health patient datasets; I also completed risk management and medical beauty industry research internships at China Minsheng Bank and Northeast Securities respectively. Key technical accomplishments include a credit risk prediction model with 97.5% accuracy that reduced bad loans by 20%, supported by a Streamlit app; an ALS-based movie recommendation system with an RMSE of 0.88; and a Spark-powered pipeline for San Francisco crime analysis. I have 3 accepted peer-reviewed papers on AI and big data (2 international journals, 1 conference), 2 approved software copyrights (China/US) for an intelligent big data analysis tool, with 5 companies applying this tool commercially. I am a member of the Data Science Association, a journal reviewer for Journal of Computer, Signal, and System Research, and have received media coverage in a Chinese financial tech newspaper. Proficient in SQL, Python, Tableau and machine learning, I combine AI and big data expertise with financial acumen, and continue contributing to AI-driven data analytics research and industry practice.
